Let me tell you....this is the BEST French Toast ever....I came up with this one when I was at the beach with my girlfriends years ago...it was a hit then and it still is today!
Angel French Toast with Orange Honey Fruit
Recipe by Nili
You will need:
One store bought Angel Food Cake cut into 1 inch slices
Combine in a bowl:
6 eggs
1/3 cup milk
2 tsp cinnamon
Dip the angel food cake slices into the bowl of egg mixture
Place into lightly buttered pan and cook over medium heat
Combine:
Zest of one orange
the Juice of that orange
2 tsp of honey
and toss with:
4 cups of season fruit cut into small pieces (I used Strawberries, Blackberries and Apples)
A lil shake of powdered sugar and you are ready to enjoy! (I don't add any syrup to these as they are sweet enough) Ren ate the fruit separate from the Angel Toast and he L.O.V.E.D it! |
